I’m generally prompt in my communications. I figure it’s better to ask questions and get feedback before blundering ahead and needing to do revisions.

I work in stages with approvals at each stage. Basic thumbnail sketches to get the composition right, poses, positioning of characters. Then a good pencil sketch to get all the detail. Then either ink or digital painting. This way I’m checking to make sure I’m on target at all steps of the project and there’s no need to go backwards. Revisions are kept to a minimum, saving time and money.
